The Daniel Defense M4A1 rifle is equipped with the M4A1 RIS II, the same rail system trusted by USSOCOM for the SOPMOD II Weapon System. It operates on a carbine-length direct impingement system with a low-profile gas block. The rifle features a 14.5" barrel—the standard length for an M4—but includes a pinned and welded 1.5" flash hider, extending the overall barrel length to 16" to meet NFA compliance. The DDM4V11’s pistol grip is an exclusive Daniel Defense design with soft-touch overmolding, which is also incorporated into the contact points of its 6-position buttstock.
